One night, when Samuel was asleep inside the sanctuary, he experienced something. He heard a voice calling his name, " Samuel." Samuel jumped up and went over to Eli, the priest's room. "You called me sir and here I am," he said. "No. I did not call you." Eli replied. "Go back to bed." So Samuel went back to bed. But before long, he heard the voice calling him again.
