Kenyans can view the complete list of licensed healthcare facilities contracted under SHA by visiting the official site: SHA Resources.

Contracted Healthcare Providers

SHA has contracted healthcare professionals from various sectors to offer services under the Social Health Insurance Fund (SHIF), including:

  • National and County Government Healthcare Facilities
  • Cancer Care Specialists
  • Renal Care Providers
  • Faith-Based and Private Healthcare Providers
  • Primary Care Networks at the Sub-County Level

Faith-Based and Private Facilities

Faith-based and private facilities licensed by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC) as of June 7, 2024, are contracted to offer services funded by SHIF. These facilities ensure access to quality healthcare across the country.

Facilities Licensed by NACADA

In addition to other contracted providers, services can also be accessed at facilities licensed by the National Authority for the Campaign against Alcohol and Drug Abuse (NACADA).

Launch of the Social Health Authority (SHA)

The SHA was officially launched on October 1, 2024, replacing the National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF). The National Health Authority now manages SHIF, and all unregistered Kenyans have been automatically migrated to this system.
