List of Licensed Healthcare Facilities Under SHA (Social Health Authority)
The Ministry of Health has released a list of licensed healthcare facilities offering services under the newly introduced Social Health Authority (SHA). Below are the key details regarding the healthcare providers included in this system.
Kenyans can view the complete list of licensed healthcare facilities contracted under SHA by visiting the official site: SHA Resources.
SHA has contracted healthcare professionals from various sectors to offer services under the Social Health Insurance Fund (SHIF), including:
Faith-based and private facilities licensed by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC) as of June 7, 2024, are contracted to offer services funded by SHIF. These facilities ensure access to quality healthcare across the country.
In addition to other contracted providers, services can also be accessed at facilities licensed by the National Authority for the Campaign against Alcohol and Drug Abuse (NACADA).
The SHA was officially launched on October 1, 2024, replacing the National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF). The National Health Authority now manages SHIF, and all unregistered Kenyans have been automatically migrated to this system.
